Batik Day which falls on 2 October is commemorated differently by
Citilink. This low budget airline held a batik fashion show in the
aircraft during the flight from Jakarta to Denpasar. The traveler was greeted with great fanfare.

by Citilink this be one way to preserve the nation's culture. Batik
fashion show is carried on flying 30,000 feet in the air by four flight
attendants and a pilot who was not on duty.
"Through this
activity, Citilink would like to invite all Citilinkers to preserve the
nation's cultural heritage by wearing batik on certain occasions. We
also want to introduce batik to foreign travelers, particularly those on
holiday to Bali,
that designs and motifs of batik in Indonesia is very diverse, " said
Vice President of Marketing and Communications Citilink, Harismawan
Yudi.
